Equipment • UM-10AB-UHF induction heating system, equipped with a remote workhead containing one 0.66μF capacitor.
• An induction heating coil designed and developed
specifically for this application.
Process A three turn helical coil is used to heat the locknut to 2150ºF for 5 seconds.
Results/Benefits Induction heating provides:
• Produces repeatable, rapid and accurate heating cycles
making it ideal for in-line production processes
• Can heat very small areas within precise production
tolerances
• Even distribution of heating
